Film: The Charm of Impossibilities

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the French composer Olivier Messiaen, The Charm of Impossibilities documents the background and premiere of one of Messiaen’s most celebrated works, The Quartet for the End of Time. The evening will include an introduction to the film by Messiaen scholar Andrew Shenton, a live performance of the quartet by members of the BU School of Music, and a discussion of the film and music after the performance.
